Roswell Fair Day Delights Crowds with Races and Baseball
A large crowd attended the Roswell fair day with three major races and a baseball game between New Mexico Military Institute Roswell and Artesia. Receipts totalled about 24 400 paid admissions. Results: Joe Dunlap won the free for all trot, Little Red won the running race for three year olds, and Billy Boy took the half mile heats. Artesia led 4 2 until a decisive three bagger in the sixth Irish.

The Cemetery Ladies Association staged the Carnival of Specialties last night to another large crowd and reported total receipts approaching six hundred. The event was held under the auspices of the Cemetery Association and featured notable displays and refreshments.

Negro Hanged in Kentucky Mob Action at Elkton Jail

Secret print shops report shocks citywide arrests
