Helen Morgan Dies After Illness and Surgery
CHICAGO October 9 Helen Morgan famed tearful ballads star of Flo Ziegfelds Show Boat died last night at 41 after a month of illness following an operation for spleen removal on September 25. She received 13 blood transfusions and had been unconscious for days. Her husband Lloyd Johnson and mother Mrs Lulu Morgan were at her bedside.
