Chaves County Magistrate Judge K C Rogers laments weak turnout as sheriff candidates compete in a crowded GOP field. Incumbent Sheriff Rob Coon is term limited. Arthur Fleming Gary Graves Britt Snyder and Pat Barncastle vie for the nomination. Several Democrats vie for governor including Howie Morales Alan Webber Lawrence Rael Gary King and Linda Lopez while Allen Weir David Clements seek the U S Senate nomination.
