Best Laid Plans Go Awry In Tulsa Baby Birth
In Tulsa Oklahoma Mary Jane Higgins 25 and her newborn daughter were fine after a dramatic birth Curtis Higgins 25 handcuffed himself to his wife to be with her at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital. Police were called but officials told them no action unless a violation or a complaint. a hospital lawyer advised doctors to proceed. The 5 pound 6 ounce girl was born about 25 minutes after the call. The husband later released himself and was not present for the birth. Higgins had previously aided a birth at their rural home for their older daughter aged two.
