New Mexico Military Institute cadets submit changes request

Naomi Anderson arrived in Morganton District Court with her boa Daniel in a blue pillowcase. Judge Bill Martin ordered 18 year old Kenneth Spurling arrested after he failed to appear. Trial reset for May 19. Daniel’s tail was bitten off about half an inch. The 48 inch snake has been owned by Anderson for two years. Soviets accused of cross border assault into China

Tokyo AP reports China claims 30 Soviet soldiers crossed more than two miles into Heilungkiang province on Tuesday. Chinese note says helicopters and boats violated border as troops fired on civilians, injuring and capturing residents before release. Historical border clashes cited with 1969 incidents.

Anaya seeks state intervention in Gas Co NM rate case

Attorney General Toney Anaya filed a motion to intervene on behalf of New Mexico in Gas Company of New Mexico’s request for an 11 million revenue increase. He asks the PSC to require accounting of gas purchase prices from 1971 to 1977 and cites inflated costs from including natural gas liquids in the price calculation.
