Moro Found Dead in Rome Car After Kidnap Search
The blood smeared body of former Italian Premier Aldo Moro was found in a parked red Renault on Via Caetani in central Rome. Police reported five spent cartridges, wounds, and that Moro had been held by the Red Brigades since March 16.

Man pleads guilty in Roswell stabbing case
Sammy Ramirez 28 of Roswell pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of Natividad Cabrera after Cabrera was found with 40 to 50 knife wounds. Judge Paul Snead sentenced Ramirez to 1 to 5 years in state prison with time served counted. Ramirez has been jailed since Sept. 9, 1977, without bond. A separate case saw Mateo Sanchez plead guilty to attempted distribution of a controlled substance with a deferred sentence for possible Delancey Street Program admission. A woman, Mary Ann Irish, also pleaded guilty to issuing a worthless check and was placed on probation with restitution. Magistrate Court saw Tommy Aragon charged with auto theft and carrying a concealed weapon. Kim Crosby was named America's Junior Miss.
