Walker Denies Auditor Attack as Irresponsible

Judges to Judge Cotton Queen Contest May 11 in Roswell

Attorney's Heart Attack Delays Felty Murder Trial
The case State of New Mexico v Wilbur F Felty, set to begin tomorrow, is moved to June 14 after Felty's attorney Caswell Neal of Carlsbad suffered a heart attack. Felty faces murder charges for the Aug 24, 1952 shooting of 51 year old Robert Lee near Horne's South Main store after a chase. Lee had a carton of cigarettes and a magazine found on him. Felty pleaded innocent and was released on his own recognizance. district court docketed March 30, 1953.
