Fire drives panic as Parker House blaze traps guests
About 50 guests fled the Parker House hotel in downtown Boston as fire swept the fifth floor of the 14 story building. One man, Joseph C. Fitzgerald, 47, of Coral Gables Florida, was the sole casualty. He was treated for burns and smoke inhalation. The blaze began among decorative jewelry stored on the fifth floor.
