It calls for enforcement of anti trust statutes, revision of the tariff, direct election of U S senators and government control of public service corporations.
Alameda Water Company plans to disband and transfer the water plant at Alameda Heights to former owner W. T. Wells. The plant has operated under local ownership for months and was found unsatisfactory. Wells will take charge of the plant. Nearby residents reported fruit samples from their yards including Alexander peaches and two-foot Red June plum branches with large Climax plums yet green.
Drivers for Mr Garcia of Hope delivered ten loads of wool to Seay's scouring mill. The shipment ranged from forty to fifty thousand pounds. Garcia has about six more loads ready for marketing.
A severe wind event lashed Artesia and Roswell last night with dense dust for about thirty minutes. Roswell reported the worst dust storm in a year or more while Artesia saw structural damage including the Dyer & Robbins shed warehouse overturned and several smaller buildings displaced.
