Refinery confident of future growth at Artesia Navajo facility
Navajo Refining Co in Artesia has expanded from 16 700 to 60 000 barrels per day with plans to reach 70 000 by end of 2003 and 80 000 later. The plant upgrades include a Gas Oil Hydrotreating Unit to meet CARB and EPA standards and improve emissions. The facility employs about 500, mainly Artesia locals, and ships gasoline diesel and jet fuel to retailers via pipeline or truck.
