Born in McDennell County, he came to Reewell in 1800 and resided there ever since, mostly at his North Atkinson home. A farmer by trade, he was praised as a fine, upright man and good neighbor who helped others. Funeral details unavailable.

Kills Man Trying To Steal A Cow
EL PASO Texas June 17 Pr Wilmore Stull an employee of the Southern Pacific Shops shot and killed a man identified as Jose Gonzales 37 of Juarez in the back yard of his home at 2 am today. Stull said a man was trying to steal one of his cows. Gonzales identified through US border patrol fingerprints. He had prior sentences from 1927 for assault with intent to murder and was deported in 1936 on an immigration charge. Stull told Captain Shea he woke to cows bawling in their pen.
