Roswell Bus Plant Buyout Talks Continue
Local CAMI USA Inc. president Peter Schmitz returned from Dallas and Washington D C as talks with NovaBUS owners and investors proceed about a possible buyout to keep the Roswell bus plant operating. No official deal or price has been announced and a June 30 shutdown has been extended. NovaBUS is owned by Prevost Car Inc Hemlys and Volvo Truck and Bus.

The Roswell UFO Festival returns July 4 7 with events across the city. Wildfire evacuees reach Glenwood Springs area as flames race
A fast moving Colorado wildfire forced 4,000 residents to evacuate western Glenwood Springs and threaten 500 homes and 100 commercial structures. The blaze burned at least 2,000 acres as winds fanned the flames, destroying five homes and one business before air tankers aided containment efforts.
