The Society of Roswell gathers with many interesting addresses and papers presented. Members discuss agricultural topics, share reports, and exchange ideas, focusing on farming methods, crops, and community progress.
The Pecos Valley Farmers Institute held a two day session with papers on horticulture and fruit care. Prof J D Ainsley spoke of returning to Pecos Valley, papers on tree planting pruning spraying packing and shipping were read by R C Nisbet J A Graham and others, discussions supported forming a shippers association and urged early spraying to protect orchard health. The meeting adjourned to Saturday morning.
Mrs. Fenetta Sargent Haskell's event at the Presbyterian Church is rescheduled for Monday evening. Also promoting garden seeds at Roswell Seed Co and Oregon apples at Watson-Finley Grocery Co with a special price of $2.50 per box.
All ladies interested in temperance work are requested to meet at the Christian church Sunday afternoon at 2 30. Oregon apples and fine ones too for only 2 50 per box at Watson Fin ley Grocery Co.
City Councilman A. L. Whiteman purchased a Buick from Dr. J W Kinsinger who earlier bought it from Nathan Jaffa before Jaffa became secretary of New Mexico Mr Whiteman already drivers with ease. Dr Kinsinger plans a larger, pricier car.
Mrs Fenetta Sargent attends Kell at Presby terian Church Monday night securing a community gathering and schedule update for parish members.

Miss Vallye Higgins hosted Miss Jennie James Sunday school class at her home last night for a Valentine party. Rooms were decorated in Valentines and pink colors. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by attendees including Misses Ivey Frichess, Margaret Beaty, Nell Owens, Thompson, Jennie James, Irma Cottingham, Julia Ferguson, McCoy, Jewel Bayless, Hattie Fitch, Edna Conn, Lottie Corn, and Messrs James Hamilton, Chas Jones, Solon Owens, McCoy, Sidney Clements, Clyde Caldwell, Clyde Mathews, C. N. Allison, Vance Watkins.
The Knights of Pythias cancel their annual banquet set for Tuesday. The event is moved to Wednesday night because the Elks show on Tuesday night. The Modern Brotherhood will use the K P Hall Tuesday night in exchange for the date.
