Homes on the Water at Jamestown Exposition
Floating houses will be a feature at the Jamestown Exposition at Sewell's Point in Hampton Roads from April 26 to November 30 1907. A large colony of houseboats, some palatial, will anchor near the grounds with many in Willoughby Bay and Tanner's Creek areas. The inner harbor provides ideal conditions for water homes, attracting owners from Maine to Florida and promising a striking aquatic village for the event.
