The Roswell city council passed a preliminary license ordinance for amusements including rotary swings Ferris wheels and doll racks with varied daily fees. It also approved sidewalk and street improvements on Main Street and surrounding avenues and accepted reports on births deaths fines and fire department needs.
A New York report quotes Dr Maxwell and Dr Cro nin claiming adenoid removal transformed a 14 year old lower East Side pupil from a surly smoker into a cheerful, studious model student. The officials say the operation changed behavior without coercion.
Manila report from Captain Samuel V. Ham states that in Leyte sixty holo men attacked American troops. Five Americans were killed and nine wounded, including Lieutenant Ralph P. Yates who is listed in serious condition. The enemy suffered about 30 killed with additional wounded.

Paris December 6 A remarkable scene followed the introduction of Count Bons to the French Chamber of Deputies as members expressed clear opposition. The event drew attention to ongoing political tensions and altered the chamber’s dynamics for the day.
A Cornell University Chi Psi fraternity house burned to the ground in Ithaca New York. Two students W S Nichols and W W Goetz were feared buried in the walls along with attorney A S Robinson John Rumsey Esty Landon and O L Schmuck all volunteer firefighters killed or fatally injured. Firefighters arriving after the blaze began found two men at a southeast tower window but the tower collapsed burying them. Goetz survived though injured while J Pope and F W Greene were missing and believed under the ruins.
Ee W Mitchell secretary and collector for Roswell Telephone Co and Roswell Electric Light Co travels to San Antonio to wed Miss Mary Louise Baine of Artesia Texas on December 12. The couple will return to Roswell December 15 and plan to set up housekeeping in time. Mitchell praised as one of Roswell's best young men. Baine has visited Roswell and Hagerman friends.
A Roswell report notes a nine o clock verdict in the Daniel versus Tallmadge case granting the plaintiffs 758 dollars with interest from April 15 1905 and denying Tallmadge’s counter claim of 5260 dollars. An excursion train arrived 20 hours late due to slow track conditions. Mary Finney returns to Elida after five months in Roswell. A Racket store ad lists more Japanese ware and 160 acres of land for sale at 35 dollars per acre with easy payments through J. H. Hamilton.
