Roswell centennial queen crowned in city pageant
Mrs. Charles Porter aged 93 was named Roswell centennial queen after a 7 to 8 p.m. pageant on the courthouse lawn judged by Patti Nelms and others. Runners up named include Mrs. J D Atwood May Corn Marley Mattie Griffin and Amelia Tigner. The event was part of Roswell’s 100th birthday centennial activities including bands, square dancing, fiddlers’ contest and City events through the week.
