West Angel G Arrellanes age 20 of Roswell arrested at 10 32 p m Saturday at East McGaffey Street and South Atkinson Avenue on possession of marijuana. Luis Manuel Calderon age 31 of Dexter arrested at Buena Vista Street and Jackson Drive at 1 29 a m Saturday on failure to appear.

Fake license ring convict faces lengthy New Mexico sentence
Tin Cheung was found guilty on 77 counts in a fake New Mexico driver's license ring. Prosecutors say he helped dozens of people obtain illegal licenses, part of a six defendant forgery and conspiracy case. Advertisements in New York during 2009 2010 charged up to 1500 per document, with Albuquerque addresses used for false licenses. DWI Arrests Highlight Chaves County Enforcement Push
On August 9 and 10, Roswell Police Dept and sheriff deputies arrested two drivers for DWI in Chaves County. One 31 year old Roswell resident faced DWI and careless driving charges with BrAC/BAC pending. A 26 year old Roswell resident was arrested for aggravated DWI and related offenses after a failure to stop at a red light with a child in the vehicle. BrAC/BAC was refused.
