Three Mennonite Sisters Die After Trapping Themselves in Chest
In Unity Wisconsin three young sisters, Anne two, Darlene four, and Karla six, suffocated after allegedly locking themselves inside a homemade cedar chest in an upstairs bedroom. Sheriff Louis Rosandich said the chest could only be opened from outside and CPR failed. The Oberholtzer family, their mother Shirley and relatives, sit in mourning as the Mennonite community of about 350 families grieves.
