Rossburn council approves equipment rates and grants plan
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn met September 28 at 10:00 A.M. Reeve John Mitchell and five councillors presided. Motions approved August financials, Union dues, and Department of Highways equipment rental rates for a Caterpillar 140G. The council endorsed local history grants, Canada Job program funding, Main Street Manitoba study, and Destination Manitoba tourism support. It authorized payments to Douglas Cameron Architect and appointed Ward Slobodesky as casual machine operator. A tax refund of 29.20 was approved for Sitko, who abstained on related motion. A letter to the Minister of Education expressed concerns about school administration and transport costs.
