Rossburn council backs shared fire hall with village plan
A Rossburn Rural Municipality special meeting approved a by law to jointly establish a common fire hall with the Village of Rossburn. The plan dedicates a 50/50 capital share up to 17,500 dollars, with phased payments in 1982 and 1983, and joint ownership and tax exemptions. The agreement includes cost sharing for maintenance, guaranteed access, and a one year termination notice with asset value amortized over twenty years. It also covers returning to tax sale pending arrears and a prior tax sale issue with insufficient funds.

Threshing Day Cancelled Then Rescheduled at Vista Farm
The annual Threshing Day at Alex MacPhail farm, located one mile south and west of Vista, was cancelled on October 2 due to bad weather and rescheduled for Saturday October 16 from 2 to 4 PM. MacPhail farm marks its Centennial Farm status in 1982. machinery is supplied by Jack Miller and sons of Vista. Vista Community Centre will sell lunch. the public is invited to see historic harvesting methods.
