The Rossburn Rural Municipality accepts a TD Bank banking package to be implemented immediately and reviewed January 31, 1984. It waives accumulated interest on $325.00 after the principal was paid and vows to enter into an agreement with Toronto Dominion Bank for the coming year.

Grand Knight John Muzylewski of Our Lady of Fatima Council No 8138 Knights of Columbus attended a state convention in Winnipeg on May 1, 1983. Guests included Premier Howard Pawley and Mrs. Pawley. Muzylewski said the council has 71 members from Rossburn, Oakburn, and Shoal Lake, with Father Vince Herner of Russell as chaplain.
