Manitoba to issue fall photo ID cards for liquor proof
Manitoba Liquor Control Commission will offer photo identification cards in September. The program, announced by Attorney General Roland Penner, targets legal-age residents 18 or older to prove age when buying liquor. Cards cost four dollars and applications will be at designated outlets with details released in September.

Barnyard destroyed in Saturday blaze near Selsgirth
Fire at Peter Bonchuk farm about a mile south west of Selsgirth destroyed a newly acquired stock of bales a barn and its contents and other barnyard materials no animals were harmed and no one was hurt. Fire departments from Birtle Rossburn and Shoal Lake fought the blaze about five hours with investigators reviewing the cause.
