Luba Family Pioneer Journey to Canada in 1900
Emily Halak recounts Alex and Maria Luba and their son Mike immigrant voyage from Elawcha Ukraine to Canada in 1900 aboard the Mount Blank. They settled SE 35-20-26 near Angusville, built budas and Lakedale Church, founded Lakedale School, raised nine children, and endured severe hardship before becoming respected founders of the Lakedale community.
