Rossburn history notes on local school origins and growth
A column recalls the 1966 opening of Rossburn Collegiate and traces earlier school history from a frame one room school in the Barrie Lawless area to a two room school built in 1908 and expanded by 1914. It records teachers, families, immigration, 1958 consolidation, 1961 Indian students, and 528 total enrollment, noting archival sources and the need for permanent recording.
