Rossburn Manco cheese plant aims new market expansion
The Rossburn Manco cheese and butter plant under manager Chris Exel operates about 16 hour days five days a week, gathering milk from local farms and delivering to Winnipeg. Since reopening after a 1982 shutdown, it has produced 330 vats of mild cheddar, experimented with European strains, and plans a whey drying feasibility study while focusing on quality and profit.
