Ukrainian festival relocates to Riding Mountain site
Manitoba’s Dauphin area hosts Canada's National Ukrainian Festival at a hillside 58 hectare site near Highway 10. Grandstands seat almost 5,000 for four days August 1–4 with ribbon dances, banduras, tsymbaly, choirs and two-language MCs. The event features costumes, crafts, foods like varenyky and paska, and a planned year-round complex including a heritage park and hotel to honor Ukrainian heritage and attract about 40,000 visitors annually.
