Park Wheat Not For Manitoba Says Agriculture Official
A Manitoba agriculture official warns the soft red spring wheat Park is not generally suitable for Manitoba due to disease susceptibility to rust. Park, meant as an earlier maturing alternative to Saunders and Thatcher, suits only northern regions and parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Despite good yields and baking quality, limited seed availability and regional restriction reduce its Manitoba use.
