Rural Council Sets June Meeting Minutes and By Law Plans
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council held its June 11 1963 meeting in the council chambers with Reeve Alex Cleland and four councillors present. They adopted the May 31 1963 financial report and revised the 1963 electors list. A first reading was set for By Law No 875 for July 9 1963. The council also resolved to forward a note to federal and local MPs about the Indian Agent residence at Waywayseecappa and adjacent reserves. Bills totaling 2007 51 were approved for payment and the meeting adjourned to July 9 1963.

Brandon special report notes Western Manitoba Broadcasters Limited will complete two CKX-TV rebroadcasting stations at Melita and Foxwarren Birtle with channels 9 and 11. Obituary for J Dickson Stitt in Winnipeg
J Dickson Stitt age 96 died June 3 at St Boniface Hospital Winnipeg. He is survived by his wife Jessie and daughter Doreen Haywood. Funeral 2 30 p m Friday at A B Gardiner Funeral Home with burial at Garry Memorial Park. Stitt formerly worked in TCA engineering and City of Winnipeg design. He held roles with Augustine United Church Winnipeg Lodge Fort Rouge Curling Club and Pioneer Fraternal Association. He also had five brothers and three sisters and two grandsons.

Olga Genovey of Rossburn died in Brandon at age 72. Born in Poland, she was laid to prayers at the Roman Catholic church in Rossburn on June 5 and buried at the Rossburn farm cemetery after a funeral led by Rev. Mendyka. Pallbearers included Steve Dnistrinsky and others. she is survived by two daughters Ann and Margaret and three sons Cassey Victor and Ivan. Her husband died in 1956. Raginski Funeral Home handled arrangements.
