Pilot Mound vet finds reward in government clinic work
Dr. Joyce Chartrand, a 1982 graduate, works at the Pembina Valley Veterinary Clinic in Pilot Mound Manitoba. She joins Dr. Dennis Smith in a two person practice serving extensive cattle areas. She praises preventive care, farm calls, and the Manitoba Animal Hospital Program which supports subsidized clinics and drug cost savings for farmers. She notes on call hours and the collaborative, equal role with Dr. Smith, with few drug cost complaints and some stock delays.
