The Rossburn Merchants Association honored Jean and Wally Perchaluk with a plaque for 30 years at the Peoples Store. In the photo, Mike Antonin, with 32 years in business, stands to their left and Mike Werbowski, with 33 years, to their right.
Mr and Mrs Fred Strilesky received a village plaque from Rossburn on their 50th wedding anniversary. Mayor Louis Kurchaba presented the honor.

A $1.5 billion draft plan to conserve waterfowl was released for public consultation by Canada and the United States. It envisions a joint management agreement to restore North American fall migrations to about 100 million birds, linking conservation with a $1 billion yearly Canadian economic impact and 40,000 related jobs. The plan foresees U.S. and Canadian funding, emphasizes long term planning, habitat protection, and science driven measures, with a final agreement to be signed in spring 1986.
