Credit Union Directors Meet in Rossburn

Joe Dnistransky Wins Ward Four Election
Ward 4 voters in Rossburn filled a council vacancy in a Friday by election. Joe Dnistransky won with 96 total votes to Milton Tokaryk’s 77 after two polling venues produced results. Tokaryk led at P Kawchuk residence with 72 to 42, while Marco Hall tallied 54 to 5 in favor of Dnistransky.

United Church Women Plan 1964 Officers and Gifts
The Vista United Church Women held their annual meeting on Wednesday December 4 at Mrs. Wm. Stitt’s home with nine members and one visitor present. A Christmas devotional was prepared by Mrs. MacPhail. They voted to donate ten dollars to the Bible Society and ten dollars to the Children’s Aid Society. Officers for 1964 include President Mrs. Ethel Brown Secretary Mrs. Lil Thompson Treasurer Mrs. H. Hamilton Vice President Mrs. Joan Baker. The gathering ended with lunch, and the next meeting is set for Friday January 3 at Mrs. MacPhail’s home with Mrs. Stitt presenting the devotional.

Scouts Expand Badges With First Aid Focus
