Joan Copeland 34 of Grandview Manitoba was killed in a truck bus collision on Thursday November 28, 144 miles west of Grandview. Survivors include husband is deceased, one son Harold Ray four daughters Muriel Florence Isabelle Vivian lawrence court. Funeral held December 2 at Tamarisk United Church with burial in Tamarisk Cemetery officiated by Rev. Fulford.
Mr and Mrs Sam Silewich express heartfelt thanks to all who donated money and for the party at their home on Saturday night They also thank friends for best wishes when visiting Winnipeg and wish good luck to all.
A list of upcoming activities includes a mixed curling meeting at the Curing Rink on Tuesday December 10 at 8 p.m., Parish Hall cash bingo on December 19 with prizes and admission, a Christmas Concert at Rossburn Town Hall December 18 with Santa treats, a Kindergarten Concert December 20, and a New Year novelty dance December 31 at the Town Hall by the Rossburn organizations.
The Rossburn United Church hosted Shirley Elizabeth Sokolan and James F. Park in a November 16 ceremony led by Rev. G. Fulford with Wendell Cleland as organist. The event drew out of town guests from Ontario, Manitoba and Winnipeg area. family and friends attended a weekend of greetings and notices including anniversaries and births.
Gratitude is expressed to relatives neighbors and friends for cards letters and parcels received while in Shoal Lake hospital. Special thanks for home help and assistance with getting wood up during recovery.
In loving memory of Claire Locke who passed away December 8 1956. We think of him when alone. Memory is the grief’s own resource. Lovingly remembered by wife children and grandchildren.
