Oakburn couple mark 40th wedding anniversary in grand Mass
Oakburn residents Micheal and Anne Ditz celebrated their ruby anniversary with a July 14 dinner dance at Oakburn Parish Hall hosted by their four sons and six daughters. A High Mass at St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Colyny preceded the celebration with visions of candles, flowers, and a three-tier cake. The event featured formal wear, family slides, a rose of love ritual, and greetings from relatives across Canada and messages from public figures, culminating in a toast and a ceremonial family tree plate keepsake.
