Manitoba adds coyote bobcat raccoon and badger to fur bearing list
Renewable Resources and Transportation services Minister Ken MacMaster announced the addition of the coyote bobcat raccoon and badger to Manitoba fur bearing animals. He attributed rising fur prices to unregulated harvests and wasteful killings and noted furs last year topped 1 million dollars. Regulated trapping under licence will govern harvests with owners allowed to protect property from damage.
