Oakburn News celebrates birthdays and community events
Oakburn residents and guests from Elphinstone and Shoal Lake joined in celebrations and travels. Mary Zemianski marked her 80th birthday on March 28 with relatives from Winnipeg, Brandon and Shoal Lake. Several locals attended Cancer Society events in Brandon and Legion meetings in Minnedosa. Others traveled to Plano Texas Ponte Vedra Florida and via Western cities. Major Pratt students Elaine Senko Jeff Kostiuk and Bonnie Nychuk study London and Spain on a ten day media tour. Suzanne Stanchuk turned 90 with a family party at Ukrainian Catholic Church basement after mass. Ukrainian Catholic Bingo and Bake Sale drew big turnout.
