Larry Tanasychuk finished a goalmouth pass from Jim Procyk for the Hornets tenth tally as they downed the Shoal Lake Eagles 10-7 Monday evening. The victory completed a two game sweep of the Eagles in the South Division.
Rossburn Agricultural Society and Rossburn Community Centre Building Committee host a talent night on Saturday May 15 to fund rodeo arena and race track improvements and to erase Rossburn Library and Senior Citizens Drop-in Centre debt. Up to 36 contestants invited contact Orest Smycnik or Ernie Antonow for entries.
Rossburn Village Council met March 11 with Mayor Louis Kurchaba and four councillors. The fire truck charge remains 1st hour 100 dollars and each additional hour 25 dollars. They approved an audit fee increase and joined Parkland Regional Development Inc. for 1982 with a 256.40 dollar membership. Land transfers to the Rossburn Agricultural Society were authorized for two lots at 2 dollars total, with legal fees to be negotiated. Water rate increased to 3.30 dollars per thousand gallons from April 1 1982.
The Rossburn District Health Centre board announces 1982 officers and committees. Executive chair Morley Kostecky and vice chair Sandra Shtykalo lead, with others in Property and Grounds, Personnel, Program, and secretary Avis Stitt. Construction reports remain favourable and opening dates are pending. Applications for employment close March 25 at 4 PM.
