Rossburn Village Council votes to keep Crow rate and rates

The Rossburn council on March 25 rejected any shift from the Crow rate to a railway based statute, preserving equal distance guarantees and farmer benefits. They kept nursery school facility rent at 100, approved legal service payments of 206.99, and agreed to travel expenses for the secretary treasurer to the Manitoba Municipal Secretary Treasurer Association convention.

Marco project gains $20000 Agro Man grant for pasture study

The Marco Grassland Association of Manitoba will receive 20000 over three years from Agro Man to demonstrate modern pasture management for beef cattle. The program, signed April 1 1979, funds fertilizer weed control rotational grazing and genetics work with 35 producers involved annually.
