December 10 1951 town council met with Mayor Fred Witt and six council members. Minutes approved. List of bills itemized from road to water accounts totaling various vendors and services. A Class B beer permit for Clarence Ogden was approved pending requirements. Adjournment by mayor. Homemaking and music classes updates summarize recent activities and future plans for Des Moines Township and area schools.

Fish technicians report ongoing monitoring of oxygen content on numerous north Iowa lakes with tests indicating heavy loss probable in some waters. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Allen departed Thursday for Lexington Kentucky after holiday visits with Dr. and Mrs. L. M. Graham.
