A community notes section reports a Golden Wedding celebration at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lyan near Mailara with relatives attending. The event features shared memories, well wishers, and plans for future gatherings among neighbors and friends.
Webster City residents celebrated with a gift exchange and Christmas tents while Rolfe and Fort Dodge connections were noted. FR Chapter PEO met December 15 at Mrs M W Webb with Mrs Jennie Bowen, Mrs Brinkman, Mrs LeRoy Nelson, and Mrs Carl White in charge of the lesson The King's Highway Christmas Religion. A Christmas tea followed. The next meeting is a one o clock luncheon at Mrs Arlo Ives home January 15.
Worship at 11am on Sunday with Sunday school at 10. The Ladies Aid meets Wednesday in the parlor. Milweek and Yeoharsst Thursday at 8:30pm. Anna business needs January 21 at 7:30pm. Visitors and strangers are always welcome.

Sunday morning supper to be celebrated. All groups of the Women's Association will meet Wednesday January 9. The annual congregational meeting will be held January 14.
Arthur G. Peterson, Pastor invites attendance at services with 10 am Sunday church school and 11 am worship. Monthly official board meeting at 7:30 pm. Sub-district youth rally at Pocahontas next Monday with 6:45 pm supper and 6:15 pm departure. Choir rehearsal Thursday at 7 pm. Junior High Youth at 7 pm and Senior High Youth at 8 pm.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sanding hosted Christmas dinner with Mrs. Abbie Sheeley and family of Pocahontas and others including Mrs. Leo Hart of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Marvin Moore. Mr. and Mrs. James Cronk were dinner guests in the Erling A. Johnson home. Roy Luft and family made afternoon calls.
Mr and Mrs Francis Trupe of Fort Dodge welcomed a six pound baby boy born December 27. The child is grandson to Mr and Mrs Harry Trupe of Rolfe. Bernard Wiegert and family of Austin Minnesota spent Christmas with Robert Wiegert. Rev and Mrs Arthur Peterson spent Christmas with their son Eldon and family in Fort Dodge. Henry Wiegert and his son Samuel of Palmer dined with the Petersons Friday. Samuel is home on leave from Camp Breckenridge Kentucky where he serves with the 101st Airborne Division.
A. L. Roberts expresses gratitude for gifts and cards received from the W.S.C.S. of Plover and the Junior Sunday School of the Methodist church.
Card of thanks from Mrs. Jay Tutt expresses gratitude to friends for cards letters and Sunshine boxes during illness. Special thanks to the Presbyterian church Woman's Association division and the Rebekah lodge for poinsettia plants.
