Havelock News Local events fill busy week in January

January meetings and visits mark the week with Sue Ann Whitman leading the intermediate group on January 12. Basketball action saw Rutland teams win both games in a doubleheader with a 71 67 boys score and 67 60 girls score. Numerous social visits and school updates filled the days as local families hosted relatives and members attended church and club activities.

Don R. Snook Named Aviation Machinist's Mate

Don R. Snook, aviation machinist mate airman in the USN and son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Snook of Rolfe, has reported for duty at Naval Air Station Hutchinson Kansas home of the navy Privateer training squadron. Snook entered the navy this year and previously attended Aviation Machinists Mate School at the Naval Air Technical Center Norman Oklahoma. He has been assigned to Advanced Training Unit 600 at Hutchinson.
