An informal Sunday reception at St Margaret s parish hall honored Mr and Mrs John Ellis on their wedding trip from Casper Wyoming. Mrs Ellis formerly Roberta Reckard. A lamb shaped cake center piece reflected Ellis sheep ranching ties. Guests from Duncombe Fonda Pocahontas Laurens Gilmore City Mallard Havelock Otho and Fort Dodge attended.

Presbyterian Ladies Hold Division Meetings and Elections

Women's Association divisions of the Presbyterian church met Wednesday afternoon electing officers and planning year programs. Division I met at Mrs. M. W. Webb's with nine members. Division II at Mrs. Jarvis's with ten. Division II! at Mrs. Lena Vaughn's with ten. Group IV met at Mrs. Marie Wiegman's with eleven present. Lunches were served and programs outlined. Methodist W S C S circles met January 7 with Rachel, Ruth, and Rebecca Circles hosting. turkey supper planned for January 31. Chapter BB Iowa TTT met January 5. Shimon-Wolke Wedding Reception Details

The bride wore a floor length gold satin gown with a matching satin head band and net. She carried white carnations. Best man was Rafe Martinez of Denver. Ushers were Kenneth and Howard Shimon. After the ceremony the bride's mother hosted a wedding breakfast for 50 guests in Holy Name hall, with a wedding cake centerpiece.

Bride and Groom Wed as Family Attends in Major Local Event

A wedding at an area church united a daughter of Mrs. Ida Shimon and the late Thomas M. Shimon of Pocahontas with a Denver groom son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wolke. The bride, a Sacred Heart graduate and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing alumna, works as a registered nurse in Denver. The groom, a Navy veteran and Denver Fire Department member, plans to live at 1483 Ash, Denver. Out of town guests from multiple states joined the family for the ceremony.
