Mentioned are a naval postcard from Cuba, a Royal Arch Mason mark traced to a Rolfe lodge, and rough thawing roads hindering travel.
A fragment notes that water with meals benefits digestion and stomach juices. It mentions a remedy Adlerika and claims it cleans gut poisons and washes both upper and lower bowels with a dose described by MM. W. Webh, druggist, on 31.
Fragmentary reminiscence recalls a chautauqua stay with Billy Taylor amid illness and war era slang. The piece mentions a Methodist Sunday school event led by Mrs W P Wheeler with officers elected and a social program, ending with an oyster supper and faint notes of local life.
The 1936 total cash farm income for the United States is projected to be nearly 800 million dollars higher than 1935. Butterfat prices in mid December averaged 33.6 cents per pound, buying about 20 pounds of feed grain, far less than last year when one pound of butterfat equaled 3 pounds of feed.
