Rural Youth Leadership Award Opens Nominations in Five States
Rural youth can obtain Leadership Award rules and nomination sheets from county extension offices. The award honors the outstanding Rural Youth Member in each club in five states and includes an all-expense trip to the Western Regional Conference for the State Rural Youth Member of the Year. Nominations are due February 10 in SD, IA, ND, NE, and MN, with county winners advancing to state offices. The program aims to boost leadership and character in Rural Youth. The Iowa Dairy Foods Festival runs January 13–22 to promote dairy products statewide, backed by Governor Elthon and the Iowa Dairy Promotion Association.
