Kathleen Rickard was honored at a August 4 bridal shower in the Methodist Church parlors. Hostesses were friends of the bride and family. Corsages went to Kathleen, her mother Lois Rickard, grandmother Pearl Rickard, and aunt Merl McAninch.
The Golf Club Auxiliary met August 13 with Dorothy Brinkman and Doris Henderson hosting a dessert lunch. Prizes were awarded to Evelyn Kaiser for high bridge score, Maureen Ranney for second high, Doris Schultz for high 500 score, and Beryl Schoon for second high. Suma Butler won the bingo prize. Mrs. Dale Johnson thanks members for cards gifts visits and kindness during her hospital stay.
Mr and Mrs Art Smith and their children of Escondido California are visiting the Ray Isacson home with sister Virgil Petersons and other relatives in the area.
Rev Gary Olson leads Sunday worship at 9 00 am at St Pauls Church with Bible readings from Proverbs 16 1 9 Corinthians 10 11 1 Luke 12 42 48 and a sermon on The Bible's Authority based on 2 Timothy 3 16 17. Sunday School follows at 9 50 am and LCWs meet at 2 00 pm with groups at the Bushes Sandvig Pohl. Regular midweek Bible Study and Prayer at 9 00 am and Sarah Circle gathering at 8 00 pm Thursday.
The United Methodists are invited to join Presbyterians for worship on Sunday August 19 and Sunday August 26. The note encourages shared services across the two churches and promotes ecumenical participation.
