Rolfe Golf Club Auxiliary Holds July Social Night
The Rolfe Golf Club Auxiliary met on Wednesday July 18 for its third steak supper of the season with about 40 attendees. Beryl Schoon won the door prize. Next steak supper is August 15 with reservations via Dorothy Ricklefs at 848 3555. Hostesses for the August dessert lunch were Betty Spencer and Dolores Pederson. Card prizes went to Vi Etta Wold high and Alma Ogden low in Contract Bridge. Nadine Saathoff high in 500. Dolores Pederson low. Dolores Wagner won bingo.

Lutheran Church Women meet with circle studies and visits
The Lutheran Church Women of St Paul held meetings on Wednesday and Thursday in July with multiple circles Naomi Ruth Sarah and Mary meeting at various homes and church. Leaders covered lessons from Ephesians 4 17 32 and related topics. Out of town visitors attended including C S Shelgren Bemidji and several families from Spencer Mavelock and Gilmore City.

A party was held Monday July 29 at the James Young home to celebrate Jeff Young's fourth birthday. Dale Ferguson returned from a five day Canadian fishing trip with Gene Ry en and Henry Johnson. Mrs. Muriel Wilson and others visited Pocahontas for coffee and viewed 4 H Fair exhibits. J F Wiegman celebrates 90th birthday with family festivities. Grandpa Wiegman known as Candy Mam to children. Mrs Ben Rutgers required twelve stitches after an accident with a washing machine wringer. The Arthur Erickson family and Virginia DeVaul picnic at Pocahontas with children swimming.

Twenty years ago Hauck's Market, a 71 year family business, was sold to Warren Freeman who will take possession August 3. A Valparaiso couple, Harold and Mary Shelgren, report their seven year old daughter Mary Beth won first prize for a doll at a show with over 80 dolls. Thomas S. Pilots Attend Fort Dodge Airport Dedication
