Till Tapper Trapped. Big Four Nabs a Youthful Thief
A Young Austrian, about 19, confessed to stealing from the Big Four till in amounts totaling 61.50 after weeks of shortages. He admitted earlier thefts of 20 and 25 on March 3 and 5. Judge Christen bound him over to District Court on $500 bond. He denied involvement in a nearby grocery burglary.

Death by Own Action Mourned In La Junta
Coroner Burr investigated the death of Ed Gavaghan a Todd drug store clerk in La Junta finding no inquest needed as he had clearly died by his own hand. A .32 caliber pistol lay near his head after a single shot and his wife who found him upon returning from a theater spoke of his unexplained act. Gavaghan a member of the B P O E, prompted many Rocky Ford Elks to attend his funeral.

Fatal rattlesnake bite claims seven year old Nellie Lynch
Rocky Ford residents mourn the death of J. R. Lynch's seven year old daughter Nellie after a rattlesnake bite. Lynch, formerly with Price & Lance, lived on a ranch five miles north of Fowler. While playing with her father, Nellie pointed to a rattler. after he killed the snake, she was bitten on the leg. A Fowler physician failed to counteract the poison and she died at 10 PM Sunday night.
