The Millers' Association of Indiana calls for actions to raise both the amount and quality of wheat. They urge policy and market measures to improve production standards and output across the state.
Indiana Millers' Association and Purdue agricultural experiment station plan a nationwide wheat push. A "wheat special" train will tour rail lines to spread methods for seed quality soil fertilization and planting. Exhibits at county fairs and literature distribution support Indiana's bid to raise yields and rival Kansas Minnesota.
A number of Spencer County residents show interest in the New Hope Mining Company and its operations led by Gene.
Uriah B. Cummings of Derby has purchased the former Herr property on Highth Street between Franklin and Humboldt. He has taken immediate possession, is repairing the building, and laying a foundation for a printing press to publish the Derby Game Bird, a poultry paper with a very large circulation.
Rev. E H Boldrey delivers annual memorial sermon to surviving soldiers next Sunday at 10 30 a m. Old soldiers and benevolent orders meet at I O O F building at 1040 m and march to the church.
Memorial Day services will be observed in Rockport on Monday May 30 with school children marching at 1 30 p m from the college campus to the courthouse. A program at 2 p m includes songs prayers readings and addresses led by local ministers and civic leaders. Governor Marshall’s Memorial Day proclamation is quoted and discussed.
Alumni association of Rockport High School hosts a banquet at the Veranda hotel for the graduating class of 1910. School board and high school faculty are invited along with graduates guests. a musical program and toasts are planned and a large attendance is expected.
The Salvation Army led by Captain Munaselle erects a large auditorium tent opposite English Lutheran church. Mrs Munaselle and Envoy D Williams assist, with singing and Italian Harp performances. The group, from Indianapolis, conducts nightly meetings with old fashioned gospel preaching. They claim thousands converted.
The Rockport high school held its thirty-first commencement at the Auditorium with twelve graduates. W. P. Dearing delivered the principal address on The Educated Man and his Mission. Miss Berry directed music as diplomas were presented by T. C. Basye.

Wylie Ashby 22 farmer of Center Town Ky wed Dessie Brown 19 of Centertown Ky on May 21 by S I Brown. Casa W Bennett 20 painter of Spencer County wed Edith Matchett 19 of Spencer County.
Mrs. R. G. Houghland and her baby of Boonville are visiting this week with Mrs. Catherine Kramer. Robert Titus of Grandview was in town on business Wednesday.

Applications to enter the Rockville TB hospital come in at about five per day. The commission, led by Dr Henry Moore, returns forms saying the board of trustees, yet to be named, handles admissions. Indigent patients are prioritized. paying patients may be admitted if space allows, with a small fee expected.
