Charley Richardson Breaks Arm Cranking Ford in Rockport
Charley Richardson, a colored resident of Rockport, bought a Ford truck Tuesday morning and, after saving to replace the unreliable horse Dobbin, cranked the auto to start it. He broke his arm in the mishap, becoming the first in Spencer County reported to suffer a broken arm from cranking an automobile. The arm was set and he plans to rest until healed while Dobbin chews hay.

Morton Young Dies at 44 in Rockport Area
Morton Young died Monday afternoon at 3 at his brother James Young's home on south Eighth street after being brought to the city from south of Rockport for medical care. He leaves a widow and three grown children. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church by Rev. M. O. Robbins, with burial at Sunset Hill. The Rockport drum corps is engaged for Decoration day at Owensboro.

Runaway Wagon Dash Near Elm and Fifth Hits Buggy
