The Supreme Court rules the Adamson eight hour workday for train workers constitutional in a six to three decision. Successful Play by Silver Dale Dramatic Club

The Silver Dale Dramatic club presented a two night show last Friday and Saturday to good attendance and community enjoyment. Receipts totaling 46.20 after expenses were donated to the Silver Dale Presbyterian church as Silver Dale works toward a social center with youth support from local neighborhoods.

Remains of Mrs Glenn Adams Buried in Mt Zion Cemetery

The remains of Mrs Glenn Adams were brought from illinois and buried at Mt Zion cemetery Tuesday at 2 pm. Mary Lee Brown, born April 26 1891, died March 18 1917, married to Glenn Brown Feb 27 1916. She lived in Illinois since marriage and was a member of U B church at Mt Zion. Rev J L Batram conducted funeral services.

Divorce Suit Seeks Dissolution of Marriage

Louise Bele Rue of Rockport by her attorneys Smith and McCullouch sues for divorce from Jehn ine alleging marriage on December 10 1890 and separation since August 26 1918. She cites three years of cruel treatment including irritability violent outbursts and abandonment, plus two years with no support, asking the court to dissolve the bonds of matrimony.

Uriah Stroud was bound over to the April term on a charge of assault with intent to kill for a reported knife attack on ex county treasurer Joseph Haug after an argument at Dale. Miller and Axton Tie Quiet Wedding at Wilkinson Home

Edgar Miller and Hallie Axton were married by Rev. Dieh at the Wilkinson residence on Seminary Street. The ceremony was intimate with close friends present and the couple plan to reside on Miller's farm two miles west of town. Mrs Miller is the daughter of W. H. Axton of Evansville and the bride will live with her husband on his farm.

County Council Member Quietly Applies for Nat uralization

William Link of Luce township, a Spencer County County Council member, surprised the court house on the 14th by filing for first naturalization papers. He was born December 11, 1841 in Rheims Germany and came to New York in late November 1855 at age fourteen. He vows allegiance to the United States and will likely resign his council seat, triggering a vacancy and a council decision in ten days.

Mary Ann Ingram Dies in Warren Montana

Mrs Mary Ann Ingram, reared in Rockport, died in Warren Montana on Saturday at age 75. Survived by four children Charles William Hardy and Mrs Co rk Beeler, with Hardy in Mt Gilead Ohio. Remains shipped to Rockport and funeral held at Mayhalls Chapel with interment Sunset Hill beside husband W J Ingram.

Double Funeral in Rockport for Hankins and Hawkins

Benj Hankins died in his fifty seventh year after pneumonia. His father Jacob Hawkins died the same day at age eighty and eleven days, both buried in local cemeteries after services at Highland church. Jacob was a Civil War veteran and Rockport G A R member, survived by seven children and thirty grandchildren.

Harvey Montgomery Dies at 61 in Wor Township

William Harvey Montgomery died Thursday March 15 1917 at 2 40 p m near Eureka in his 61st year. Funeral services were Sunday at 10 30 a m at the family home conducted by Rev R R Bryan of Mt Vernon. Burial in Richardson cemetery. He taught in Luce townships historic schools Taylorsport and California and married Jennie Allen April 12 1885. He leaves wife son Wayne and two grandchildren, two sisters, and a brother.
