A meeting is set for next Saturday at 8 PM at the office of County Superintendent J. W. Strassell to reorganize the five acre contest for 1917. All township teachers institute chairmen in the county are urged to attend.
Catherine Reiff, by Swan and Mason, files suit against Henry and Susan Schumacher to set aside a deed on the claim it was conditional for life housing. Defendants allegedly deserted the home March 5 and attempted to move west. Reiff also accuses them of taking $300 cash and two notes totaling $150, without consideration, and seeks $150 damages plus property return. Real estate involved includes a pugh tndad ae o and 50 acres in Jackson township.
The Democratic national committee ran a deficit of 300900 during the recent presidential campaign and Indiana's share of the effort is 20000. Clarence Wolfe leads a precinc t canvass to raise funds across the district.

John Brown staked off ground for a granite marker to honor the Lincoln cabin site near the public school in Lincoln City. An 8350 appropriation funds the six foot monument with a concrete approach from Lincoln Park and from two streets. The unveiling will occur in early spring with ceremonies.

The C. W. Dobson lecture at the Methodist church last Sunday, under the Methodist Brotherhood, offered an intellectual discourse on The Problems of Human Life Here and Hereafter. Attendees found the address greatly appreciated and beneficial.
